I am using a Mixed Cellulose Ester membrane with pore diameter 0.05 micron to obtain a film of nanotubes by vacuum filtration. Presently, I transfer this film onto a thin Al film (50 nm thick) on a Si substrate and dip the whole substrate with the film in acetone to dissolve the MCE membrane but a lot of times, the metal layer develops cracks in acetone. Is there someway I can dissolve the MCE membrane earlier and avoid the acetone dissolution step?
Many thanks
