Hello Everyone,
My experiment requires serum free cell culture condition for 24-48 hrs. I tried different base media without serum ( RPMI / DMEM and others). However they are inducing apoptosis to various extent in different cell lines. Could anyone suggest the a serum free media which can keep the cells healthy for shorter period of time? (24-48 hrs)

you can gradually accustom your cells to a serum-free environment Within 2 weeks, and then perform the test( for example SFM medium from gibco company )

I would suggest a serum free media which can keep the cells healthy for shorter period of time of 48 hours. It is the Bovine serum. It contains an abundance of exosomes. To optimize analysis of the exosome targets of interest, it is best to remove serum from the culture medium that is to be harvested. Most cultured cells can tolerate 24 or maybe 48 hours of growth in serum-free media .
