Can anyone name the differences between Riemann-Liouville fractional derivatives and Grunwald-Letnikov type for numerical work?

Can anyone name the differences between Riemann-Liouville fractional derivatives and Grunwald-Letnikov type for numerical work? Is of them are equivalence?

I think G-L is a nice basis for numerical work better than R-L. Is there exist equivalence under suitable conditions. Someone can please explain the paradox to me?
