I am interested in studying genes specifically express in coconut fruit, especially in the kernel (flesh of coconut fruit) and in the coconut milk. To do this, I need to isolate total RNA from both of those tissues. Can anyone tell me whether it is possible to do so? Some literature related to the procedures and probably contact persons who have experiences with such RNA isolation will also be appreciated.

Thanks for the info. It should add to my ref. portofolio. However, I would like to get input for the RNA isolation methods, especially ones that can be used to isolate RNAs from coconut milk and coconut flesh (containing much oil bodies).
