Can anyone inform me about the advantages of renewable energy from the burning plasma?

Many people believe that incineration of solid waste by plasma, which creates Syngas, can produce electrical power with high efficiency and minimize environmental pollution.Is this true? Will oxygen and carbon combined together in Syngas create CO2 and contribute to atmospheric pollution and create greenhouse gases? Why? Who does not support this method?
