if you are able to include a PC as a monitoring interface in the network communication process, you can install a packet sniffer (wireshark) on the PC to capture the packets and reveal the IPs.

I am implementing on FPGA so the PC will not be the interface. I will write the verilog code and download it on spartan 3 or 6.

So possibly the packet sniffer will not help.
