I am planning to use Eye Tribe eye tracker for my research. I am new to eye tracking. I am having some doubts.
1) Can we able to get saccade parameters ( saccade duration, inter saccade interval, saccadic peak velocity, and saccade amplitude) from the output of eye tribe.
2) What type of features we get from output data. How to analise output
3) Can any one provide me sample eye tracking data and any material available

I am currently using an eye tribe tracker with ogama-freeware eye tracking software.
1. You can get all of the data you need, but remember it is only a 60Hz-Low Cost tracker.
2. Ogama may help to analyse your output --> it is easy to create MS Excel or SPSS or R-data sets.

1. I agree with Matthias, you should look into ogama software which is very convenient for eye tracking experiments.

1) NO! Saccadometry is pretty much out of the question. In theory, testing a LOT of saccades, you could potentially create a somewhat representative velocity profile, but this is a very roundabout way of going at it, and should not be recommended. For more info on what kind of analysis you can and cannot do, see the attached pre-print of mine (NOTE: a pre-print is not peer reviewed; in this case the manuscript is under revision).
2) Again, see attached pre-print. Brief summary: if you use an optimal setup (i.e. with chinrest), the EyeTribe seems to be fine for fixation analysis as well as for pupilometry. So if you want to know where people have looked for how long, or test their pupillary light response (or general arousal or whatever you want to conclude from pupil size changes), the EyeTribe could potentially be a good tool.

Eye Tribe is not appropriate for scientific research, I have experienced it. Offsets, low precision and accuracy are really annoying. Instead, you can rent a better device with software.

Gazepoint is a promising device, low cost also. I also experienced it, it is efficient for visual research. The best device i have ever used was tobii tx300 and smi red500, they have tremendous prices though. But it should be noted that your research design predicts the device. I have never used Eye Tribe, but it appears to be a system that provides low resolution gaze. While it maybe possible to get the parameters you are interested in the resolution is listed as 0.5°. Not very good and the sampling rate is limited to a max of 60 Hz. This rate is not satisfactory for saccades.

In my opinion, this book answers almost all questions about how to analyze eye tracking data, including how to choose proper device for your research (based on its frequency - 60 Hz to 1000 Hz), how to setup experiment, and all statistical analysis that you need to analyze the data.

I have found the EyeTribe product to be entirely capable for my needs - Perhaps not ideal. I wish I had it 10 years ago when I was first doing research in this space. Links to example works included here
