Biotechnological inventions (related to pharmaceutical applications) are classified in IPC: C12N (biotech) and A61K (pharma). In Patentscope (WIPO), the Indian patent collection is available from 2005 on (https://patentscope.wipo.int/search/en/help/data_coverage.jsf) (more than 500,000 docs). A search with the 'field combination' option: National publication number: 'IN' combined with International Class: 'C12' AND 'A61K' retrieves 883 results, without A61K: 8574 results.
