Yes, both genus are corrects. Review the paper of Voss et al. 1998 (The cephalopod family Histioteuthidae (Oegopsida): Systematics, biology, and biogeography Smithson Contr Zool 586 (2): 293-372) for species of Histioteuthidae and other species probably Ancistrocheirus lesueurii.

Just coming across this now, a couple years late. Were these specimens saved or was any tissue taken for genetics? My lab is revising the taxonomy of both of these groups and we're actively looking for material from the Indian Ocean, especially fresh for genetics.
