My axial ratio plot shows that my antenna is linearly polarized. But i am not able to conclude that my antenna is horizontal or vertical polarized. How to check this in HFSS?. pls reply me ASAP
Thanks for your reply. Plz, provide the plot of (a) E_theta and (b) E_phi or (a) gain_theta and (b) gain_phi. Predicting results from Er_total may not be accurate/authentic.
no, really, if you just want a direction, putting a non-model point in main direction at the edge of near-field zone will show you all you need without guessing. just apply there vector E-field plotting and see. The ellipse can be oblique, so judging by patterns only will not give you an immediate answer.
Try to plot Gain_X and Gain_Y w.r.t. frequency in HFSS and conclude which one in higher than other X or Y. The higher gain will show plane (XZ or YZ) of polarization.
Hi, one way for determining the polarization direction of the antenna is to put a non-model plane at a distance of antenna and plot E-FIELD on the plane. Then animate E-field. By this technique the polarization can be specified.
