COBRA has been used for decades for thermal hydraulic analysis of nuclear reactors. Over the years it has been revised/improved. I need a current version which is more windows based.
There is new version of COBRA called COBRA TF. AREVA is working on it ([email protected]) but also Penn State university (Dr. Maria Avramova [email protected])
Not sure it is windows based, this is not the objective ... There is one COBRA version running under MS windows, old version, available from OECD/NEA. For 'regular' calculations (no counter current, rather 1D flow (axial velocity > cross flow, ...) odl version is quite sufficient.
Also of interest (as more or less 'open', is the NEPTUNE software ; information from EDF A. Guelfi ; one article is available on research Gate (A New Software Platform for Advanced Nuclear Thermal Hydraulics)

CTF(COBRA-two Fluids) is a state of the art development at Pennsylvania State, try "Reactor Dynamics and Fuel Management Group."
Older COBRA-IV-I , compiled for PCs-16 bit only is free. You will find it in my archive here:

In this archive all programs work on a 32 bit machine. Migration to 64 bit is in progress. I see no free solution for COBRA yet.
