I want to know about the importance of using external and internal samples. Whether the calculation on the basis of external sample is valid or with the internal standard?
Next, How should the external standard be selected, from reference list of AOAC or any other repository?
Whether the choice of reference standard affects the calculation of fatty acids/biodiesel, for ex. if we chose a single fatty acid standard or a mixture of saturated and unsaturated fatty acids commercially available (in Sigma/Cayman/Avanti Polar lipids)?
Please mention the formula as well as explain with an example, if possible.
