No, I didn't use any dye. The colour of the picture is probably due to the colour temperature of the camera which was not properly set. Anyway the colour of the organism is actually orange/red.
Seems not to be Haematococcus probably Chlamydomonas nivalis in resting stage.
Most of the coccal green alga develop carotenoids when the enter resting stages.
