you can also follow the synthetic route given in this patent WO2004011436A1, but the problem was final coupling.  please go through the patent.

Thank you all for your help. I came accross a paper which cites another paper stating that bedaquiline is synthesised in five steps from 3-phenylpropionic acid and para-bromoaniline as the starting materials. I am interested in the quantities required as well as the full procedure for this five step process as I do not have access to the original paper whose reference is below:
