I am working on tribolgical study of carbon-epoxy composites with certain reinforcements.
Can anybody suggest me the condition of choosing the best filler powder in order to reduce wear and friction for polymeric material?
Any beneficial suggestions will be greatly valued.

The best filler for this purpose is PTFE (Teflon) powder. But also graphite, molybdenum sulfide of polyethylene power are used. The last is the cheapest filler for this purpose. The link shows you a supplier for such fillers.

The combination of components, listed in the answer of Burkhard Koehler, with bronze powder is a very effective. The bronze powder (the amount of it may be equal to molybdenum disulfide content) gives the significant increasing of hardness and wear resistance of such composite.

Hard particles, i.e. Tungsten Carbide (TC), will serve as wear particles between your polymer and counterfcae. It will enhance abrasive wear process which will dramatically reduce wear resistance or your sample. So, the short answer is NO. Don't try TC particles.
