You can study the adoption the low-GHG manufacturing processes in the cememt production industries of a given country and see the proportion of firms that adopt them, vs. not adopting. Or you could do a between-country analysis, say Kyoto Signatories, where you could explore the relative weight of regulations/incentives in driving country-level adoption rates (means) in the cement industry.
PS: this research is from a management or economics standpoint, there are other topics, in engineering and applied sciences, of course.
Broad scope is there.... you can do research either on management or materials side of it....!
