Hi Muayyad. No, I mean a public database/registry. I already know which journals would be best suited to publishing the findings of my research. However, we are also encouraged to publish data from our studies in relevant public databases, to improve centralised access to data pertaining to particular areas of research.
Hi Paul, it is possible that the journal you are targeting for publication has this feature/registry service. In some journals, in addition to the published article, additional resources can be made available to the public/reader though the journal publisher. For example the Journal of Statistical Software, besides the article, additional materials are available from the publisher, such as the program code and datasets to run the analyzes. You might want to check that for your targeted journal. I hope this helps.
