We are currently setting up a freeze-drier (Labogene CoolSafe Touch 95-15) in our lab, for freeze-drying human feces. We aim to use the freeze-dried material for 16S rRNA gene sequencing.
We are aware of the article:
"The impact of freeze-drying infant fecal samples on measures of their bacterial community profiles and milk-derived oligosaccharide content"
But information on specific settings are lacking. In general we have difficulties finding this information in the literature investigated by looking into papers performing fecal microbiota transplants. All information is welcome also suggestions for further reading.
