Could anyone please let me know whether there is any special concern when the Parker index is calculated for weathered rocks?

I calcuated it using the given simple equation (2Na2O/0.35 + MgO/0.9 + 2K2O/0.25 + CaO/0.7)x100 .

I got values in thousands, while other authors have got there values in less than 100 for fresh rocks and less than 1 for weathered rocks for similar whole rock geochemistry.

Could anyone please point me out where I have gone wrong?

Thanks in advance
