Lijepi pozdrav, Tatjana
Dear Slavica, I would say it is Atrina pectinata, I assume that the bottom there is not regularly subjected to trawling? Because this is an old adult. It would be super if you can tell what is the size of the specimen. In the northern Adriatic I have never seen such a big individuals, but there the bottom is subjected to regular trawling, Best regards, Tatjana
I tend to Atrina fragilis, this species is more common and no cross structures are visible on your shells. However, your specimen is a dead shell and maybe eroded.
In the book I used Alf & Haszprunar (2015): Mittelmeer-Mollusken Atrina pectinata is synonymised with Atrina fragilis. In WORMS both species are accepted, however:
Huber (2010) listed both species, but Atrina pectinata distributed in the Indian Ocean and A. fragilis in the North Atlantic and Med Sea.
