I am Bharathi pursuing PhD from Manipal University, Manipal. I am working on design of 3D model of eye using COMSOL and I have a query regarding this.
After 2D eye model is converted into 3D model with solid mechanics physics added, to study the effect of force on cornea, I am not able to select any boundary to do the analysis. When I select option as all boundaries, it is indicated as "not applicable".
So, please help me in this regard.

The question is how you converted 2D to 3D model? As far as I know, within a 3D model in comsol you can add a 2D component and perform the analysis in the same file. Can you give more details to help you.

I followed the usual steps to convert 2D into 3D model.I imported 2D model ( 2D eye model) in 3D workplane and performed revolve operation 360 degree along X- axis.
After converting 2D into 3D model, to perform stationary analysis, solid mechanics physics is added. In solid mechanics, neither fixed constraint nor boundary load, point load can be applied to the surface of the cornea. This is because, I am not able to select any boundary in the model.All boundaries are marked as "NOT APPLICABLE".
I have attached the file for reference.
Is it because I have not applied any boundary conditions to the eye model. Please help me.

I asked you to upload the file to confirm if the error is related to the geometry that was imported as a curve not as solid!. In that case, all boundaries of the eye are not available under any boundary condition because the domain of the eye is hollow. You can check this yourself whether you originally drawn your geometry in a CAD software or within Comsol.
