I will be doing some in-vivo recordings in future. The idea is to see how brain structures like amygdala, mPFC, ventral hippocampus respond to stress. This in combination to some behavioral test to see how stress alters animals ability to process a particular task. I have a good hand for surgeries, and basic understanding of the neuronal circuits. Also aware of the hardware used for the purpose (like electrodes, drives, pre-amplifiers and related stuff ). But not able to orient myself to the basic in-vivo elecrophysiology. Basically the alph, gama, wave and what does that mean? Local field potentials what do they represents?

So need some basic papers or book to orient myself.
