to me this looks like a "vegetarian" bit, e.g. a spore of a fern or some kind of minute seed.

I agree with Andreas, it is a spore or a conidium of fungi or plants. With all those segments inside it doesn`t look like a parasite.

I viewed samples from the digestive tract of cockroaches collected from the northern part of Nigeria and came across this in the year 2016.

In a similar study in the South-south region of Nigeria in 2019, the same was found in the digestive tract of cockroaches.

I believe this is a parasite and not a spore.

Can anyone help in the identification please? This was found in samples observed specifically from Periplaneta americana.
