Phosphorylated protein can be indentifed by antibody identifying the phosphorylated site? For example, p-Akt (S473) can identify phosphorylation level of Akt at S473 site, indicating its activity. If Akt S473 is mutated to D473, which mimic the phosphorylation of S473 as a constitutive activity form of Akt, can the p-Akt (S473) antibody identify S473D and show the high level of phosphoryaltion level? Is there any papers reporting data like this?
