We need to obtain alveolar macrophages from our experimental animals in sequence and the entire process for all the animals may span about 3 weeks. Can we store the purified macrophages, thus after detaching them from culture plates, and later extract RNA/ or proteins from these stored macrophages without loss of quality of the RNA/ or proteins? Please help or suggestions from anyone with experience on this would be very much appreciated. Thank you.
