I have not used Ketamine+ medetimine anesthesia for longer duration of action. I am using zoletil and rumpun mixture for the anesthetic purpose (it sustain for 3 hr) in case of mice. You can try using this.

Ketamine is a dissociative anesthesia, u will not get effective anesthetic effect for longer duration.

For long duration surgeries (over 1 hour) we always use general anesthesia (isoflurane) plus a preoperative analgesic such as buprenorphine.
