I always found 8-10 mol% yttria-stabilized zirconia in connection with SOFC electrolyte. Is there any known reason why I did not found 3mol% yttria-stabilized zirconia as SOFC electrolyte in literature?
The conductivity of doped zirconia depends on the dopant concentration. Conductivity of zirconia increases with adding Y2O3 until 8 mol % and then decreases for higher yttria additions.
