Submission Topics
We invite papers from researchers and practitioners which address the broad spectrum of ergonomics challenges and opportunities in the areas of simulation, visualisation and digital technologies. We also welcome proposals for panel sessions.
Submissions including, but not limited to, the following topics are invited:
Decision aiding, information presentation and visualization
Human-Computer Interaction
Cognitive process of design
Human Factors and simulation
Human decision making and problem solving
Design methods, tools, and methodologies for supporting cognitive tasks
Trust and control in complex systems
Cognitive task analysis and modelling
Motivation, engagement, goal sharing
Methods and tools for studying cognitive tasks
Situation awareness
Human learning behaviour
Human error and reliability
Affective/emotional aspects of human interaction with IT artefacts
Resilience and diversity
Submission Guidelines
All submissions should be written in English and authors should anonymise their papers. All submissions fulfilling the submission requirements will be peer-reviewed, and accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings which will be made available in the ACM digital library.
Submissions must follow the ACM conference proceedings formatting guidelines. A Microsoft Word template and LaTeX template are available; further information is available on the SIGCHI Conference Publications Format page.
Long, short and poster/demonstration submissions should be made through the EasyChair Reviewing System. Please note that you must select the submission type in the “topics” section of the submission page so that your submission can be processed accordingly. Submissions via EasyChair must be in PDF format.

Submission Categories
Submissions can be long papers, short papers, or posters and demonstrations. Doctoral candidates may also submit to the ECCE 2016 Doctoral Consortium.
Long papers
Long papers should describe original, completed research work that contributes to the conference topics. They should be a maximum of 8 pages in the correct proceedings format.

Short papers
Short papers may describe work-in-progress, practical experiences, and innovative concepts or approaches which can promote discussion. They should be a maximum of 4 pages in the correct proceedings format.

Posters & Demonstrations
The poster and demonstration sessions aim to show work in a setting which facilitates open discussion. These sessions are suitable for authors who wish to present and demonstrate their work, smaller projects, systems or prototypes in a more interactive and informal setting during ECCE2016. Poster and demonstration papers should be not exceed 2 pages, explaining the work to be presented, how it will be presented, and the relevance of the presentation to conference attendees.
If there are any particular space requirements for the demonstration (e.g. size of equipment, power, networking etc.) please also email the programme chair ([email protected]) listing your requirements.
