📢Call for Expert Insights: Undervalued Fish Species & Sustainability 🐟🌍

Dear colleagues in fisheries, sustainability, biodiversity, blue economy, natural resource management and circular economy,

I am conducting a research study on the ecological, economic, and social significance of undervalued fish species as part of my postdoctoral research at Novia University of Applied Sciences and Natural Resources Institute Finland (Luke), funded by the Finnish Cultural Foundation.

As part of my methodology, I am gathering expert opinions through a short questionnaire to explore key challenges, opportunities, and policy recommendations related to undervalued fish species. The definition of undervalued fish species is still somewhat ambiguous (these species not being used to their full potential or not yielding the expected benefits). This study aims to clarify these terms more comprehensively. I would be grateful if you could help define them from economic, social, and cultural perspectives. Your insights would be invaluable in shaping this research.
