Within Maastricht University (UM) we have spread the call for junior practical training (JPT) projects (internships/placements) for the Biomedical Sciences master. But we would like to offer our students the opportunity to perform their JPT outside our university too. Students will have interviews and select a project during November-March. The actual JPT takes places in April – March. JPT objectives include participation in an ongoing biomedical research project, exposure to the real-life research environment, gaining experience in setting up experimental research/focused experiments, practical understanding of modern research techniques and methodologies (possibilities and limitations), keeping a laboratory journal, active participation in academic/scientific meetings in professional practice, and the exchange of newly acquired knowledge by reporting to others and writing a report.
If you think your company/institute can offer such a placement please drop me a message via RG and I will tell you how to submit your project proposal (brief & easy).
