I use a column for purification. In its brochure it is said binding capacity is :0.3 mmol Ligand/ml resin and molecular weight of ligand is 340.4 g/mol. How can I calculate its binding capacity? Is it 0.3*348.4?
If you want to know how many grams of ligand will bind per ml of resin:
0.3 x 10-3 mol ligand/ml resin x 340.4 g/mol = 0.10 g/ml
Thank you for your answer. It could be equal to binding capacity?
Yes, it can be called binding
