Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone has any personal experience or opinions on using lipofectamine or any other reagent for the production of lentivirus in 293T cells compared to calcium phosphate precipitation.

From what i am aware, calcium phosphate results in very low transfection, while the ever improving reagents such as lipofectamine are quite high (as high as 80% if not higher). seems like a great option but there must be some drawbacks?

cheers
