The thermal expansion coefficient of concrete ranges from about 7 to 12 microstrains/°C, whereas the one of HDPE seems to be about 80 to 200 microstrains/°C, so it has to be taken into consideration if you want them to work together; I don't know if that is why you asked the question. Maybe it helps you that, when a HDPE pipe is buried in the soil, the temperature of the system is more stable than an above ground pipeline, which needs great expansion joints.
