You have to speak to business students but the question you have raised is more from a teacher's point of view: " Do you use business cases to teach problem analysis ..." So you need to actually talk from the student perspective and reframe your question.

A more relevant question could be how students use case studies and whether they learn anything at all from them or not. I would agree with Bonnie that cases with spreadsheets (as advocated by many instructors today) are actually messy and add little to learning. Cases that are experiential add to student learning much better.

As far as your slides are concerned, a presentation with 36 slides will bore the students to death. Reduce it to 5 slides They contain everything that a case should be, but do not address alternative methods like design thinking, physical experience and real life analysis.

I think case studies are very good tool for providing a holistics view to management concepts in a simulated environment. The case studies with strong data analytics and discussed in groups makes up a strong tool to help students understand the applied aspects of management in practice... you can complement the case studies with videos, and relating the case study management concept applicability to the present day status of the company mentioned in the case study (its interesting to see what applied as reasons for failure or success when the case study was written may or maynot be apply now)... i think design thinking to apply for case study analysis would be a novel approach, but would require some kind of fitments to deliver required results
