i have some Brittle stars in my samples
samples have been collected from soft bottom, Persian Gulf, Iran
10 M depth
the specimen are juvenile, and i want to know, is it possible that they be identified?
is it necessary to take SEM photo of them, or only the adult can be identified?
for example i send 3 photo of them

I think this is a species of Ophiopholis perhaps O.aculeata (Linnaeus, 1767) coming under the class Ophiuridea .

Your Brittle Star specimens (damaged) could be described as Ophiopholis sp. SEM may be helpful.

Its an Amhiuridae but I cannot clearly see the characters. Possibly Amphipholis, Amphiodia, not Amphiura and less likely Amphioplus.
