Blocked the expression of a gene of a non-culture bacteria?

I want to block the expression of a gene from a bacterium that lives in the hemolymph of an insect.

A non-culture bacteria

Well, it's a black box system, but even if you cannot culture this bacterial strain (except in the insect) you can inhibit its expression of (target) genes (by mutagenesis, etc., etc.), and control the result by adequate PCR.
