In a democracy, businesses seem to decide which way the country should move. On the other hand, the leaders of these businesses are not typically interested in entering into active politics. In the process, political leaders appear to have the upper hand in comparison to business leaders. So which is more powerful, politics or economics?

The Brazilian economic policy is characterized by the actions of the government who seek to achieve their goals through economic instruments , divided between monetary , fiscal and exchange rate policies . Federal, state and local governments work together to consolidate the economic policies adopted in the country .
The government has committed to provide or facilitate access to essential goods and services , especially those that are not of interest to the private sector , such as education , health, defense, security , transport and justice.
Composing national economic policies are the measures adopted by the exchange rate policy , which regulates the operations of export and import ; monetary policy , which controls the amount of currency in circulation , and fiscal policy , which determines the sources of revenues and expenditures Brazilian public .
Arguably the economy is the base so you can deploy good political programs that meet the needs of the population . Even living in a democracy , I have observed that the economy is handled in accordance with the personal interest of each politician , rewarding their constituencies and often with projects that do not interest most of the population
Political programs are always constituency dependent. Every politician wants to see that he gets elected again, and therefore he would be more interested in his constituency anyway! What to do!
