HI all. I am working with a methacrylic polymer. I tried to measure the BET surface area using nitrogen. I got a value of 32 m2/g but the micropore radius is 0. does this mean still my polymer has some porosity and surface area or it is some error? I could not find any specific literature on this as well.
I am not sure if I got the question right. Are you asking why you are getting a specific surface area if you do not have any micropore?
If so, SSA is defined for non-porous solids as well. If porous, depending on the size and the method you are using, you can get a distribution of size.

For microporous materials, u may think the subtracting pore effect method. BET may be used for nonporous materials.
It can also mean that your polymer is macroporous or nonporous
This polymer belongs to the class of optically transparent polymers (in products), which indicates its homogeneity and the absence of microdefects on which light is refracted. Micropores would necessarily give some optical effects. The fixed surface size is larger than just the outer surface of a non-porous body (for example, for well crystallized alpha-alumina, it is several square meters per gram), but this may be due to microcracks of the powdery sample.
