Hello, I am interested in exploring surface features and properties of crystals, without doing classic illumination like what we usually do with a microscope. As you know crystals are optically active and each crystal is different in the way we see, it transmits light, depending on light direction, shape and facets, etc. Is there a simple way to illuminate (diffusely and evenly) the surface only, without shining light through? Best wishes. t
