Hi everyone, I would like to run a Cox regression progressively including potential confounding factors in the models (Model 0: no confounding factors; Model 1: 1 confounding factor; Model 2: 2 confounding factors; ...)
Since I never did it on my own, I am wondering if you could suggest a practical statistics software for this purpose.
PS I usually use Stata or GraphPad Prism.

Stata makes survival analysis very easy by first storing the information needed to set up the survival analysis. This information can then be activated by the individual Stata commands, all of which start with 'st'
The setup command is stset, and you need to specify the time variable and, if there are censored data, the censoring variable. You can specify a whole lot of other parameters too, such as time when exposure to risk started etc.
Following that, you can run Cox regression using the stcox command.

I am used with SAS which is avery interesting software i think for Survival model with PROC PHREG.
But you can also used R wich is open source with packages "survival" and "survminer".
In my opinion I think STATA is very good and easy to use but for some user define functions I prefer R (moreover R is free).
