between the BAI an the STAI my limited experience is that the STAI is a better measure; the BAI tends to correlate very strongly with the BDI. the stai also correlates with depression (expectable) but seems to behave well. also offers state and trait subscales which really do behave as state and trait; ie low test retest correlation between atate than trait scores
Anxiety correlates with depression assessed ot not with any instrument! Personally I like BAI.
