My field is computer science specifically WSNs and IoT. Moreover, my previous research background routing protocol, security and load balancing in aforementioned Networks.
I am not from a CS background, but I will share my thoughts. I suggest you go through some of the important journals in your field. You will come across articles that will interest you. If you do some background reading based on the articles you like, you will get a fair idea of what some of the important research questions in your field are. You will also get to know some important names of professors who do ground breaking work in your field of interest.
Once you have some substantial knowledge in your field, try to see if you can spend a few months to a year working as a research assistant or research associate in your country in a well-established university. Get to do some good work and try to get some internationally recognized publications and/or prestigious conference presentations. That will help you get you a recognizable name in your field.
With these credentials, try emailing a few professors abroad along with a good curriculum vitae. Make sure your curriculum vitae meets international standards in terms of information presented and formatting. At the same time, keep applying to top rated universities. Sooner or later, I think you will be successful.
Please keep in mind that getting into a good funded position takes time and a lot of background work. There is no quick-fix answer to establishing a good future. Be patient and persistent and success will come. All the best!

Thank you for your reply. I have couple of publications in Q1 journals such as IEEE Access and MDPI Sensor with one IEEE sponsored conferences paper. Likewise, couple of my papers are under review in Q1 journals, I hope, I will get acceptance about 3 or 4 of them. I don't have idea to follow best supervisor with scholarship opportunity that is why I need suggestion
Acc. to me ist step is to choose university and then visit the university site to find out who matches with your area of interest. Discuss your research topic with them and you will get an idea who suits to your research area better
One of the best advices i ever got was: go where they want you the most. Find a supervisor who is understaidng, yet motivating. Its important to narrow down your field of supervisor search to a specific, preferably, main topic within your research question. I had some terrible supervisors previously, but now I’m doing my PhD and i have two most amaizng supervisors anyone could wish for. I get loads of support with my studies and they prepare me for my future career as well.
Pls, get to good University of your choice, see the different areas of specialisation of (academic staff) Senior Lecturers and above. Chose the two of them, then scan through the net to see their publications and research interest, choose the lecturer that you have more interest in his field then discuss with him/her (through e-mail).
Dear Mohammad, I agree 100% with Mr. Jacob, but I want to share with you one more thing. Are you thinking to do your research by experimental or simulation work? If simulation work first you have to check if your university has the simulator you need or not. That's why you have to choose the university first then the supervisor.
To choose a good supervisor, I believe three things should be considered. First, the current and previous academic background of the professor. Does she or he is active in the research area you are interested in? This can be achieved by reading her/his papers. Second, how influential the professor is. If the professor is a fellow or senior member of a certain academic association, he/she could help your paper get published. Third, the chemistry between you and the professor. Ask his/her students for information or talk to the professor directly to find if you two could have a good relationship in the next few years.
