What are the best motor tests, to be carried out in childhood, to assess fine motor skills, gross motor skills, balance, agility, strength, endurance and flexibility in large-sample studies (or to be used widely in schools)? I'm creating and testing my list, but sharing ideas should be better, as usual.
The requirements shall be: feasibility, cheapness (or even better gratuitousness), validity.
I know it is a big, but really useful, topic.

maybe this information could be useful for you:
recently we carried out a study with primary schools of Lombardy engaging above 7000 children.
We tested them on physical performances using these tests:
- 6-minute walk test (6MWT)
- standing broad jump (SBJ)
- 4x10m shuttle run test (SRT)
these tests were feasible (and cheapness) in the school environment and we provided reference values for the 6MWT in Italian children (here the reference: Six minute walk distance and reference values in healthy Italian children: A cross-sectional study. PLoS ONE 13(10): e0205792. https://doi.org/10.1371/journal.pone.0205792).
Regarding balance, I think the quickest solution is the "Y-test", and for the flexibility the "sit and reach test" or the "Vsit-test".

Danilo Bondi MOBAK is a good tool that meets some of the requested parameters. Obviously the challenge will be to have different tools to achieve the determination of the parameters you set.
