I tried to melt bismuth doped soda lime silica (SLS) B2O3 at 1000 degree Celsius for 3 hours, it is highly viscous. So, I increased the temperature to 1400 degree Celsius for 3 hours but it is still viscous. Can some body help me with idea on how reduce the viscosity.

I am no specialist in this field but I found a publication concerning this problem. The viscosity is expected to decrease for sufficient high temperature. I would the temperature approximate to the boiling point. This must reduce the viscosity.

The viscosity of the glass melt is strongly dependent on its composition. There are oxides in the glass melt that affect its viscosity in one direction or another. For example, in the SiO2-Na2O-CaO system an increase in SiO2 content increases the viscosity and an increase in CaO content instead of Na2O makes the melt more fluid at the same SiO2 content.
The rule applies to glasses based on SiO2: the more alkaline earth oxides (CaO, MgO, BaO and SrO) replace the alkali oxides (Na2O and K2O), the less viscous the glass melt becomes. FeO also reduces the viscosity of the glass melt.
