Dear colleagues,
After statistical processing of a large corpus of English utterances assessed for emotional valence, it turned out that the phonemic content of speech is tied to emotional valence. We experimented to test whether this phenomenon is generally valid by generating pseudowords uttered by a robot and giving pictures to determine correspondence.
So far the result is quite intriguing and confirms the hypothesis, but we need more participants with diverse native languages.
