There is a saying which goes along the lines of “Why do rigorous research when you have already made up your mind”

This stems the question -- How should a researcher mitigate /eliminate the influence of their personal, social and/or even religious beliefs on their research findings? … because such beliefs can/may promote bias in the interpretation of research findings.
