I am attempting to identify or at least define morphospecies of Collembola in interior Alaska. Many times they are quite distinct but many of the white ones seem very similar to me. I was wondering if someone could suggest features to note and/or a relatively simple guide that might be helpful.

The best idea is that as the priority you start visiting Collembola.org. Through this primary searching, you will get good knowledge of the morphology of Collembola and afterwards guide you to use recommended keys published for each group, family and so on in the webpage. Finally you should decide to use good keys written according to the ecozone you live (Nearctic zone). To pursue this goal, you may need to look for and ask people who worked on Collembola in Nearctic area. I for example live in palaearctic area. Good luck and all the best.
