Based on my experience, I made it a point that at least once or twice a month, I have time with my son and bring him to the nearest outdoor playground in the metro. There is a lot of benefit from it both parents and the child, like physical attributes, you get to play along, exercise; emotional bonding as parent and son, socially, we get out of our comfort zones, we meet other people and many more. It is vital to have some precious time with your child once in a while, it is also a good stress reliever from time to time.
I think it is great for socialising with other kids; quality time with my children increases and their mobility is likely to develop.
