I am working on developing quantitative microarray for the detection of environmental pathogens. In my research, my main target is detection of multiple environmental pathogens (which might be present in very low copy number) simultaneously up to species level in a relatively quicker time. So I was wondering what are the current available techniques we have to detect environmental pathogens and meeting these criteria. Few of them in my mind are as follows:

01. NGS

02. MALDI-TOF MS

03. Droplet digital PCR

04. Optical mapping

05.Nucleic acid biosensors

So apart from these, does anyone has any idea what could be a potential method for detecting environmental pathogens?
