I just want to know which software is more effective and easy to use in 3d modeling , estimate, 3d rebars etc. You can answer in your own point of view and your experiances.
Revit programs helps to estimate the quantity of materials, also you can administrate by BIM technology.
I think, for a start, it is necessary to get acquainted with the Autocad. Well, for 3D modeling, of course, Revit is more suitable.
In my opinion there is wrong way to learn only one program. Because a large part of work in architectural design better do by using AutoCAD. And of course Revit is a program which we must know.
Both of them are important softwares for engineers and each one can be used for a special work. I recommend to learn both.
that really depends on what you wanna do in your project. you just need a software to facilitate computer aided design autocad will work for you but if you are looking for something more like information driven model then revit is best for you. although revit got some limitations but there are work flows to overcome those
Revit is so faster than AutoCAD on 3D modelling and you can have much export from Revit for different software such as ETABS and Autocad and other software of 3D modelling. There are so many positive points on Revit but Autocad is freehand and u can do much work on it.
Auto cad is better then Revit. because atucad is international language of Civil Engineering.
Autocad is powerful for infrastructures works but REVIT is more essential when doing building projects. It will superimpose all the drawings such as Architectural, MEP to C&S and determine any clashes whilst generating the Bill of Quantities if requires.
Auto CAD is good for 2D drafting but if you are looking for something faster and better then Revit is good. Its very helpful to integrate all the designs like Architect, Structural and MEP.
New is always better, it just has resistance.
I working in ArchiCad
It depends on which kind of work do you want to do in them, Autocad is better for drawing and modeling simple object, Revit is far better to manage a big project with a lot of elements implicated. If you start from zero Autocad is better, but right now a lot of big studios work only with BIM software like Revit, Autocad Architecture, Archicad and so on. My advice is use a software only for its best field and when it's the simple way for you to manage your work. For example, if you have to model a complex 3d object Rhino is the best.
Based on my personal experience, Autocad software is better for fine and complex design details than Revit software. Revit software has a faster modeling speed than AutoCAD due to its ready-made tools. In general, Revit software is recommended. It should be noted that having BIM capability has added to the popularity of this program.
